Automation & Custom Software
What I Build
Most of the friction in small business operations is repetitive: the same data entered in three places, the same report pulled every Monday, the same email sent with slightly different fields. I build tools that eliminate that friction — dashboards, data pipelines, automations, and custom internal apps.
Recent Projects
For a property data company, I built an ingestion pipeline that pulls from six county data sources, normalizes the schema, and flags anomalies before they hit the main database. What used to take a developer two days of babysitting now runs unattended with alerts on failure only.
For a service business, I replaced a spreadsheet-based scheduling system with a lightweight web app that tracks crew assignments, customer notes, and invoice status in one place. The owner stopped losing track of who owed what.
The Stack
I reach for whatever solves the problem with minimal surface area. Python for data work, Node/Express for APIs, React when a UI is actually needed. I avoid frameworks that require full-time DevOps to maintain. If it needs to run on a $6/month server, it will.
How to Engage
Best fit: you have a specific painful process that costs you time every week and you can describe it clearly. Send me a note through the contact form with the rough shape of the problem — what the inputs are, what you currently do with them, and what the output should be. I will tell you honestly if it is a one-day job or a month of work.
