Gravestone Flower Holders

When my father-in-law Kevin passed away. I was privileged to build the flower holders that bolt onto his memorial. He was a good guy and this was a project that mattered more than most.

Holding the first welded box

The vases are welded from 1/4" steel plate into square boxes — ground smooth and cleaned up to bolt directly onto the memorial.

Clean welds ground flush on the corners. These needed to look finished, not just functional.

Two completed holders ready for powder coating and installation. I don't think I got any documentation of the process, but I would not recommend the Harbor Freight powder coater. It "works", but the powder coating doesn't actually stick. I made it work by preheating the metal.
